Québec Silica Processing Initiative
Optimax is evaluating the feasibility of establishing a high-purity silica processing facility in Québec, Canada, to serve downstream markets for its German 3N silica material. A final investment decision remains contingent upon the availability of competitive infrastructure, regulatory clarity, and appropriate support frameworks from both the Gouvernement du Québec and the Government of Canada. Should those conditions be met, Québec presents a compelling processing destination given its clean energy infrastructure, skilled industrial workforce, and strategic transatlantic positioning.

Our Story

Conviction built through
rigorous preparation.

Optimax did not launch to find mandates. We launched with them — the product of two years of proprietary research, deep due diligence, and deliberate mandate development across three continents before a single dollar was committed.

2024
Mandate Research & Development
Intensive pipeline development across critical minerals, industrial chemicals, and energy infrastructure. Sector-level due diligence conducted across North America, Europe, and the Middle East — identifying platforms with structural demand tailwinds and defensible competitive positioning.
Early 2025
Alberta Nitrogen Thesis Developed
Deep due diligence on an existing Saskatchewan fertilizer operation revealed material structural issues — and a larger, cleaner opportunity. Optimax identified the Alberta Industrial Heartland as an underserved location for a purpose-built, institutional-grade nitrogen platform and began mandate structuring.
July 2025
Firm Established — Three Mandates Secured
Optimax Investments Partners Inc. incorporated in Toronto, Ontario. At launch: asset management mandate confirmed for the German Quartz Asset; Alberta Nitrogen Platform mandate formalised; Oman Silica Facility mandate initiated, connecting European upstream production to Gulf investor capital and regional downstream demand.
August 2025
German Quartz Mandate Formalised
Full asset management mandate confirmed for a high-purity quartz and silica operation in Germany — a strategically significant critical minerals asset with structural demand tailwinds across semiconductor, solar, and advanced manufacturing supply chains. Optimax assumes responsibility for capital raising, EPC oversight, offtake negotiation, and full production ramp-up.
Active
Three Platforms. Three Continents.
Optimax is actively executing across all three mandates — deploying institutional capital, advancing EPC programmes, and developing offtake relationships in critical minerals, industrial nitrogen, and silica processing markets globally.
Origin
Two years of preparation.
One deliberate launch.
Most firms are built to find deals. Optimax was built differently. The founding partners spent 2024 conducting structured due diligence across multiple sectors and jurisdictions — not as advisors, but as principals identifying platforms they were prepared to own and manage. When Optimax launched in July 2025, the mandate pipeline was not a projection. It was already in place.

Discipline
When due diligence says no —
the answer is no.
In early 2025, Optimax completed detailed due diligence on a major Saskatchewan fertilizer operation. The analysis identified structural issues that could not be remediated to institutional standards. Optimax declined to proceed. That same process, however, produced a clear-eyed view of the nitrogen market in the Alberta Industrial Heartland — and the conviction to develop a purpose-built platform from the ground up. The Alberta Nitrogen Platform is the direct product of that disciplined decision.

Integration
Connecting capital, resource,
and market across continents.
The Oman Silica Facility mandate emerged from a precise convergence: institutional investor capital available in the Sultanate of Oman seeking deployment into real assets, and a high-purity silica resource stream from the German Quartz Asset requiring downstream processing capacity. Optimax identified the structural fit and structured a mandate that serves both. This is the firm's approach in practice — not reactive deal flow, but deliberate platform construction across integrated supply chains.

How We Operate

Built to institutional
standards. By design.

Optimax approaches every mandate with the governance rigour, environmental discipline, and stakeholder accountability that long-duration industrial assets demand — and that institutional capital requires.

Environmental Discipline
Our assets operate under the most stringent permitting regimes in their respective jurisdictions — German federal environmental law, Canadian federal and provincial regulation, and Omani environmental standards. We treat regulatory compliance as a floor, not a ceiling. EPC contracts are structured to internalise environmental risk, not transfer it. Site remediation, water management, and emissions obligations are scoped and costed from feasibility stage.
Social Licence & Community
Large-scale industrial development depends on sustained community acceptance. Optimax builds and maintains that acceptance through structured community engagement, transparent regulatory liaison, and a preference for local procurement and employment where operationally practical. Our German and Omani mandates operate in established industrial regions with long histories of resource development — relationships built over decades that we are committed to preserving and strengthening.
Governance & Accountability
Institutional LPs require institutional governance. Optimax operates with independent oversight structures, segregated mandate reporting, and full audit trails across all capital deployment. Our cross-border transaction experience spans Canadian securities law, EU regulatory frameworks, and GCC commercial structures — each requiring its own compliance discipline. We report to investors with the frequency, depth, and candour that fiduciary responsibility demands.

Responsible development is intrinsic to how Optimax operates — embedded in our mandate structures, our EPC frameworks, and our investor reporting from day one. Heavy industrial assets carry genuine environmental obligations, real community relationships, and demanding governance requirements. We meet those requirements completely and consistently, because assets built to the highest standards attract the strongest capital, command the longest offtake relationships, and endure. Every platform we manage is one we stand behind fully — before any regulator, any investor, and any community stakeholder, at any time.
